Prismatic was born out of the friendship between Evan Delgado and Ariel Ellis. Ariel was an ardent fan of Evan’s first cafe and, over time, they found much in common as dads, connoisseurs of coffee, music, photography, and design. 

Throughout the pandemic, ideas were formulated for roasting craft coffee, brewing amazing cold brew, and connecting to our community through music and the arts. Soon Prismatic took shape as the next chapter of our lives. 

Eventually, we were fortunate enough to partner with a coffee legend-in-the-making, Kyle Layton, who joined the team and quickly put his skills and style to work perfecting the roasting and beverage programs for the first Prismatic Cafe. Kyle is an award winning barista and has now brought home two consecutive Best Roaster in the Valley awards for Prismatic (2025 & 20026).
